Squarespace Maintenance
Squarespace support
for busy owners.
Squarespace keeps its own software updated. This plan covers the human side: content updates, layout edits, blog publishing, and a monthly check that everything still works, for $49 a month.
Squarespace already updates itself. So what is left?
Here is the honest part first: Squarespace handles its own software. Security, server upkeep, and platform updates all happen behind the scenes, and you never have to think about them. You do not need to pay anyone for "software updates" on a Squarespace site, including us.
What Squarespace does not do is run your website for you. Text goes stale, photos need swapping, blog posts sit in drafts, layouts need adjusting when your services change, and links quietly break as the sites you point to move or disappear. That is the human side of a website, and it is exactly what this plan covers.
BURDS NERDS is a San Diego web design studio, working with small businesses since 2014. Squarespace Care gives you one person to send those requests to, with a reply within one business day, whether you are in Southern California or anywhere else.
One plan, one price: $49 a month
No tiers to compare and no add-ons to decode. One flat plan covers the routine care a Squarespace site actually needs.

Who this plan fits, and who it doesn't
Squarespace Care is built for owners who chose Squarespace for a reason: to keep things simple. You could make most of these edits yourself, and Squarespace makes that genuinely doable. But "doable" still costs you an afternoon you would rather spend running your business. This plan puts a professional on call for those requests instead.
It is not the right fit for everything. If your site needs custom features or deeper SEO structure, or it has outgrown what a template can comfortably do, a custom-built website is usually the stronger foundation. Our custom website design page explains that choice in plain English, and we will tell you honestly which side of the line you are on.
The kind of support clients stick around for
We work with therapists, bookkeepers, health and wellness clinics, coffee shops, and creative studios across San Diego and Southern California. Here is what one of them said.
"Matt has been extremely patient with me as I didn't always know what I wanted for my new website. He offered many great suggestions and was very easy to work with! My new website captures both my business and my personality!"

Common questions
The software, no. Squarespace updates its own platform and handles security behind the scenes, and no monthly plan changes that. The content, yes: text and images go stale, links break as other sites move, and layout changes pile up. Squarespace Care covers that human side, plus uptime monitoring and a monthly broken link check.
Text and image swaps, blog post publishing, minor page additions, and layout edits are all covered. Bigger work, such as a major redesign, e-commerce setup, or advanced integrations, is not part of the monthly plan; we scope it and quote it separately in writing, so there are no surprise invoices.
Yes, when it is the right fit. Custom-built websites are our flagship, but Squarespace is a good fit when you want a simpler, lower-maintenance site you can manage yourself, with less technical complexity and a smaller budget. See how a web design project works, and we will recommend the platform that matches how you plan to run your site.
Yes. Our SEO Foundation Review, a one-time review from $350 to $500, works on custom, WordPress, and Squarespace sites. It covers your site structure, page titles and meta descriptions, headings, speed, indexability, image alt text, and local SEO basics, and ends with priority recommendations in plain English.
Yes. Plans run monthly, or on 1-year or 3-year terms if you prefer, and you can cancel anytime. Multi-site discounts are available if you have more than one website to look after.
