WordPress Maintenance

WordPress maintenance,
handled for you.

Core, plugin, and theme updates, security monitoring, and real support from a San Diego studio. Plans from $49 per month, published pricing, cancel anytime.

Why WordPress sites need regular care

WordPress is a great platform when it is looked after. The catch is that it is made of parts that all move on their own schedules: the WordPress core, your theme, every plugin you have installed, and the database underneath them all release updates independently, and they do not wait for each other.

Skipped updates are one of the most common causes of broken layouts and security problems on WordPress sites. This is not a scare tactic, just how the platform works: an update to one plugin can conflict with another, and an update nobody installed leaves a known gap open. A site that gets its updates applied, tested, and monitored every month simply keeps working.

That is the whole job of a maintenance plan: someone applies the updates, watches the site, and catches small problems while they are still small. You run your business; we keep the site running.

Four plans, published pricing

Every WordPress plan includes updates, monitoring, and Kadence Security Pro, a premium security plugin, at no extra cost. From there, each tier adds more hands-on help. All plans are available on monthly, 1-year, or 3-year terms, with multi-site discounts.

Which plan fits your site

The right tier depends on how much you want done each month, not on how fancy your site is. Here is the honest one-line version of each.

Monitor, $49/mo

The set-and-forget safety net: updates applied, security watched, problems flagged.

Maintain, $79/mo

Active upkeep with small monthly edits, so text and image changes never pile up.

Content, $129/mo

Everything above plus one SEO blog post or content update per month, written in your voice.

Advanced, $199/mo

An ongoing development partner: up to 2 hours of design and development work every month.

What's included, and what isn't

Maintenance plans cover the routine care listed above. To keep the pricing honest, a few things are not included unless they are stated in a written proposal: major redesigns, advanced integrations, e-commerce setup, malware cleanup, emergency recovery, hosting issues outside our control, premium plugins beyond Kadence Security Pro, third-party subscriptions, and unused time rollover.

Hosting, domains, premium plugins, and paid tools are billed separately. If your site needs something bigger than a plan covers, like a malware cleanup or a redesign, we scope it, put a number on it in writing, and let you decide. No surprise line items.

Common questions

Yes. You do not need to have built your site with us to put it on a plan. We start with a review of the site, its theme, plugins, hosting, and any custom work, so we know exactly what we are taking on before the first update runs. Once we have that picture, your site goes onto a plan like any other.

No. We work with your current host, whoever that is. If your hosting is causing real problems, we will tell you and explain why, but switching is never a requirement of a maintenance plan. If you are curious how hosting affects your site, we wrote a plain-English post on why website hosting matters.

It is a premium WordPress security plugin, and it is included in every WordPress plan at no extra cost. It adds software-level protection on top of our security monitoring, so your site is defended by both the plugin and a human who checks on it.

Malware cleanup and emergency recovery are not part of the monthly plans. If a site comes to us already compromised, we scope the cleanup and quote it separately, then get the site onto a plan so it does not happen again. Regular updates and security monitoring exist precisely to keep you out of that situation.

Yes. Maintenance keeps a site healthy, but it does not make a dated design current. If your site needs more than upkeep, our website redesign service covers rebuilding it, on WordPress or another platform when that fits better, without losing what already works.
